The newest feature at steelbridgesolutions.com, under the “Insights” tab, is Agility Lessons. Others call them “case studies,” but imitation isn’t in our DNA, nor is maintaining the status quo when something fresh is required.
Agility Lessons reflects our recognition that HR’s internal customers too often consider it to be stodgy and slow. While the old buzzwords still apply—for example, leaders still want HR to be strategic and knowledgeable about the business—increasingly, repeatedly, desperately, the business is demanding that HR be agile.
We have written about this topic before—see HR Be Nimble, HR Be Quick and our blog posts on Agile Staffing and the Future of Agile HR—expressing our view that agility is much more than speed. It has a mental component: the ability to pause mid-crisis, consider the situation rationally, logically, and reasonably, and discover ground-breaking solutions that will achieve extraordinary results.
SteelBridge Solutions prides itself in being agile in a number of ways: In meeting each of our clients wherever they are on their transformation journey; in adapting our solutions to the culture, business environment, and talent challenges that make up a company’s context; and in adjusting our approach, moment to moment, to take advantage of the unexpected obstacles and opportunities that occur during the life of a major HR or business initiative. Agility Lessons are designed to report insights, emerging trends, and examples of agility in action. As we share our experiences, we encourage you to contribute yours, too.
