Founder & CEO

Susan Richards, SPHR, PMP is the founder and CEO of SteelBridge Solutions, Inc. Susan has more than twenty years of professional human resources experience. Her passion and focus is helping clients improve business performance by aligning their human capital programs and practices with business strategy. Susan has successfully led and delivered HR technology, strategy, organizational effectiveness, change-management and transformation engagements. Her clients span a broad range of industries, including the public sector, energy, healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing, financial services, consumer business, and professional services.

Prior to forming SteelBridge Solutions, Susan was a partner in the Human Capital and Change Management practice at Wipro Consulting Services. Susan also spent 2 years with Mercer HR Consulting as a principal in the HR Effectiveness Practice. As the Southeast Market leader for Human Capital at Buck Consultants, Susan worked with many global outsourcing clients. She served as Senior Manager in Deloitte Consulting’s HR Operations and Technology practice for 6 years and spent 2 years at IBM in the Global Services organization.

Before becoming a consultant, Susan led the HR function in the professional services and telecommunications industries. Susan earned an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BA from Maryville College. Her certifications include SPHR, PMP, Workday HCM and Project Management. She is active in many national and local professional associations including The Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), International Association for Human Resource Information Management (IHRIM), American Payroll Association (APA), World at Work, and Project Management Institute (PMI).
